NANNETTE HILL, MEd., RCC
Supporting Adult Individuals & Couples
Have you ever experienced the power of truly being heard? That moment of deep listening can be transformative—and it’s why I’m passionate about counselling.
With over 20 years in the field, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside adults and couples as they navigate life’s challenges, from trauma and anxiety to grief, depression, and communication struggles. I believe that having a compassionate, empathetic listener can open the door to healing and help you access your own inner wisdom.
My Approach
As your therapist, I’m committed to being that compassionate, attentive presence. I provide a safe space to truly understand what you’re conveying, offering a sounding board that allows you to hear your own thoughts in a fresh, more positive light. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and work toward reframing difficulties through a strengths-based lens—supporting you to cultivate self-compassion and find meaning even in life’s hardest moments.
My approach is integrative and tailored to you, drawing from modalities like CBT, EMDR, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Gottman Method, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and psychoeducation on the neurobiology of trauma.
Experience & Expertise
I have worked in diverse settings, including school districts supporting children and youth, Elizabeth Fry Society assisting teen mothers, Youth Centers serving marginalized and unhoused youth, and private practice. I specialize in anxiety, trauma recovery, depression, grief, parenting challenges, and stress management.
Outside of Work
When I’m not counselling, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, hiking, kayaking, knitting, reading, listening to music, and lifelong learning.
