At New Ground Wellness, we offer a holistic range of mind–body services designed to support wellbeing, resilience, and sustainable performance.

Our practitioners guide individuals and groups through breathwork and cold exposure experiences to enhance nervous system regulation, mental clarity, and physical resilience, including specialised breathwork for athletes to optimise focus, recovery, and performance under pressure.

We also support whole-body health through nutrition and mind–body education, intentional fitness and movement practices, nature-based therapy and outdoor “Walk & Talk” sessions, and personalised sleep health support.

Each offering is thoughtfully delivered to help you reconnect with your body, restore balance, and build long-term wellbeing from the ground up.

Sleep Therapy

Are you getting the sleep you need?

Do you lie awake at night, mind racing, unable to drift off — no matter how tired you are? Do you wake in the early hours and find yourself staring at the ceiling, unable to get back to sleep? Are you exhausted during the day but wired the moment your head hits the pillow?

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone — and you don't have to keep living this way.

Do You Relate to Any of These?

  • Do you have trouble falling asleep most nights?

  • Do you wake during the night and struggle to get back to sleep?

  • Have you been dealing with insomnia for weeks, months, or even years?

  • Do you feel your poor sleep might be connected to anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress or exhaustion?

  • Have you tried everything — and nothing seems to work long-term?

If you answered yes to any of the above, CBT-I could be the turning point you've been looking for.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a highly effective, structured, drug-free program designed specifically for people experiencing chronic sleep difficulties. It is widely recognised as the gold standard in insomnia treatment — and research has shown it to be more effective than sleep medication in head-to-head comparisons, with results that last long after treatment ends.

Rather than masking the problem, CBT-I works by getting to the root of it — targeting the thoughts, habits and behaviours that are causing and maintaining your insomnia, and replacing them with approaches grounded in sleep science

  • CBT-I is suitable for adults experiencing chronic insomnia, including those whose sleep difficulties occur alongside:

    • Anxiety

    • Depression

    • Chronic pain

    • Stress and exhaustion

    • Other health conditions

Whatever is keeping you awake, CBT-I meets you where you're at.

What to Expect?

The program is made up of five sessions and can be completed in as little as six weeks. It's practical, structured and deeply personalised — giving you tools and strategies you can begin using right away.

75–80% of people with chronic insomnia experience significant improvement through CBT-I — with long-term benefits that continue well beyond the end of treatment.

  • Stimulus Control Rebuilding the connection between your bed and sleep — so that when you get into bed, your body and mind know it's time to rest.

Sleep Scheduling Working with your natural sleep drive to increase sleep efficiency and reduce the time you spend lying awake in bed.

Cognitive Restructuring Identifying and gently challenging the anxious, negative or unhelpful thoughts about sleep that keep the cycle of insomnia going — and replacing them with more realistic, helpful perspectives.

Sleep Hygiene Looking at the environmental factors and daily behaviours that may be affecting the quality of your sleep.

Relaxation Techniques Learning practical methods — including deep breathing and muscle relaxation — to reduce the tension and stress that can make sleep feel impossible.

  • At New Ground Wellness, we are proud to have Amy Thain and Nannette Hill as certified CBT-I therapists. Both Amy and Nannette bring warmth, expertise and genuine care to their work — supporting clients through a process that is not just about sleeping better, but about feeling better in every part of life.

If you're ready to stop dreading bedtime and start waking up feeling rested, we'd love to help.

You deserve real, lasting rest — not another night of watching the clock.

Get in touch today to book your first session with Amy or Nannette and take the first step toward the sleep you've been missing.
