Supporting Individual Adults
Stefanie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Group Practice Co-Owner, Clinical Supervisor and mother of 3, with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. She has dedicated her career to supporting adults and couples as they navigate relationship challenges, personal growth, and life transitions in ways that feel grounded, compassionate, and authentic.
In 2022, Stefanie merged her successful private practice, South Okanagan Counselling, with colleague Lucinda Bibbs to form one of Penticton’s largest and most trusted group counselling practices. What began as a shared vision has grown into a thriving organization with over 20 clinicians, a practicum site for Masters of Counselling Students, collaboration with a number of different organizations and funding, and a strong reputation for accessible, high-quality care across the South Okanagan.
Stefanie is now dedicating her career to supporting the next generation of counsellors through her practice’s practicum and clinical supervision programs, while also expanding her work into business coaching and workplace mental health support.
In recent years, Stefanie has invested in extensive business coaching and consulting programs to support her evolution as a leader. As her practice continues to expand, so too has its scope—recently rebranding to include holistic health offerings and workplace wellness services under their new name, New Ground Wellness, reflecting their commitment to whole-person and community well-being.
Today, Stefanie oversees the operations and financial management of the organization, guiding its continued growth and sustainability. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping acollaborative, values-driven team culture and ensuring the practice remains deeply connected to the community it serves.
